Are Hartke bass heads good?
I think Hartke is pretty good. The amps like 3500, 5500, and 7000 sound good and are reliable. On the other hand, I can’t say much for the Kickbacks. You’re not likely to get a satisfying tone out of them.
How many watts should my bass amp be?
A 100 – 150 watt bass amp is the bare minimum to use for rehearsals and small gigs; 300 watts is better since it allows the amp to push out the same or louder volume with less effort or strain. A louder amp doesn’t have to work as hard, which means less chance of overheating, blowing a fuse or damaging a speaker.

Amps work the same way. In terms of construction, they are very similar and function exactly the same. That’s why you will not damage or break the guitar amp by merely plugging a bass guitar into it. The main differences between a guitar amp and a bass amp are the power output, the speaker’s size.
